Graphic Designer
Location: Sulaimaniyah
Work Type: Freelance / Project-Based
Company: Digirise Agency
About Digirise
Digirise is a growing creative and digital marketing agency based in Sulaimaniyah. We help brands and businesses build stronger identities through creative design, content, advertising, and digital experiences.
We believe great creative work should do more than look good — it should capture attention, communicate an idea, and make a brand memorable.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Graphic Designer with a strong creative mindset and a sharp visual eye.
We’re not simply looking for someone who knows how to use design software. We want someone who understands design, brands, people, and attention.
You should be able to take a brief or even a simple idea and transform it into something visually strong, modern, and meaningful.
You’ll work on different creative projects for Digirise and our clients, including social media content, campaigns, advertising materials, branding, and other digital experiences.
The position will initially be freelance/project-based, with the possibility of developing into a longer-term role as Digirise grows.
We’re Looking for a Creative Mind
We’re looking for a designer who can create work that feels modern, eye-catching, and original.
Someone who follows what’s happening in design, understands current visual trends, and knows what captures attention — but doesn’t simply copy what everyone else is doing.
Inspiration is welcome. Imitation isn’t.
We want you to take references, ideas, and trends and turn them into something fresh with your own creative direction.
Your work should be able to:
- Catch attention without feeling overloaded.
- Feel modern and relevant to today’s digital platforms.
- Communicate an idea clearly, not just look attractive.
- Adapt creatively to different brands instead of using the same style for every client.
- Show your own thinking and creative decisions.
- Balance creativity with clean, professional execution.
We’re especially interested in designers who look at a brief and think:
“How can I make this stand out?”
—not simply:
“What can I copy for this?”
What You’ll Do
- Create engaging social media designs and campaign visuals.
- Develop creative concepts based on client briefs and marketing objectives.
- Design advertisements and promotional materials for digital platforms.
- Create brand-consistent visual content across different formats.
- Work with existing brand guidelines and visual identities.
- Contribute ideas for campaigns, content, and creative direction.
- Adapt designs for different platforms, dimensions, and placements.
- Prepare clean and organized final files for digital or print use.
- Collaborate with the Digirise team on client projects.
- Make revisions based on feedback while maintaining design quality.
- Stay aware of current design and social media trends without simply copying them.
- Deliver projects within agreed deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong graphic design skills and a good understanding of visual communication.
- Strong sense of typography, composition, hierarchy, spacing, and color.
- Experience designing content for social media and digital advertising.
- Ability to develop designs from an idea or brief rather than relying entirely on templates.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, or equivalent professional design tools.
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects or motion graphics is highly valued.
- Knowledge of 3D design is considered an advantage.
- Ability to understand and follow brand guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage projects and deadlines responsibly.
- Ability to receive feedback and improve work accordingly.
- Curiosity and willingness to experiment with new creative approaches.
AI & Creative Tools
We welcome designers who know how to use modern creative and AI tools effectively.
AI can be part of the creative process for exploration, ideation, experimentation, or improving workflow — but it should support creativity, not replace it.
We’re interested in designers who know when and how to use these tools while maintaining originality, quality, and creative control.
Your final work should demonstrate your own creative judgment and design ability.
Portfolio Required
Your portfolio matters to us more than your degree.
Applicants should provide a portfolio or examples of previous work. This may include:
- Social media designs
- Branding and visual identity
- Advertising campaigns
- Posters and digital artwork
- Logo projects
- Motion graphics
- Personal creative projects
- Any other work that represents your creative ability
Please focus on quality rather than quantity.
We don’t need to see everything you’ve ever designed. We want to see the work that best represents your creativity, visual thinking, and style.
Formal education in graphic design or a related field is welcome, but it is not required if your portfolio demonstrates strong ability.
Working With Digirise
This position will initially be offered on a freelance/project basis.
Project scope, deadlines, and compensation will be discussed depending on the assignment.
As Digirise continues to grow, designers who consistently produce strong work, bring ideas to the table, and collaborate well with the team may be considered for more regular or full-time opportunities.
Ready to Create With Us?
If you care about great design, have your own creative perspective, and want to create work that makes brands stand out, we’d like to see what you can do.
Send your CV, portfolio, or links to your previous work to careers@digirise.agency
