Videographer & Photographer
Location: Sulaimaniyah
Work Type: Freelance / Project-Based
Company: Digirise Agency
About Digirise
Digirise is a growing creative and digital marketing agency based in Sulaimaniyah. We work with brands and businesses to create strong digital identities, engaging content, and marketing that delivers real impact.
We believe visual content should do more than look professional — it should capture attention, create emotion, and tell a story.
About the Role
We’re looking for a creative Videographer & Photographer who can turn ideas, products, people, and places into compelling visual content.
We’re not simply looking for someone who knows how to operate a camera.
You should have a strong visual sense, understand composition and lighting, and know how to create content that feels modern, engaging, and suitable for today’s digital platforms.
You’ll work on different projects for Digirise and our clients, including social media content, brand campaigns, products, businesses, events, interviews, and promotional content.
The position will initially be freelance/project-based, with the possibility of developing into a longer-term role as Digirise grows.
We Want More Than Good Shots
A technically good photo or video is only the beginning.
We’re looking for someone with a creative eye — someone who can make ordinary subjects feel interesting and turn simple ideas into content people want to stop and watch.
Your work should feel modern, visually striking, and intentional.
Following trends is important. Copying them shot-for-shot isn’t.
We want someone who can understand what is currently working in visual content and then bring their own perspective, framing, movement, storytelling, and creative ideas to it.
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Find interesting angles and compositions.
- Turn simple locations or products into visually engaging content.
- Create strong opening shots and attention-grabbing moments.
- Understand what makes people stop scrolling.
- Follow modern photography and video trends without becoming repetitive.
- Experiment with lighting, movement, framing, transitions, and storytelling.
- Adapt their visual approach to different brands and industries.
- Bring ideas to the shoot instead of only waiting for instructions.
Be inspired. Be current. But make it yours.
That creative mindset is one of the most important things we’ll look for in your portfolio.
What You’ll Do
- Plan and execute professional photo and video shoots for Digirise and our clients.
- Produce content for social media, advertising campaigns, websites, and other digital platforms.
- Capture products, businesses, people, events, and branded environments.
- Work with the Digirise team to turn creative concepts into visual content.
- Understand the purpose of each shoot and adapt the visual style accordingly.
- Set up and manage camera, lighting, audio, and other production equipment when required.
- Select the strongest footage and photographs from each shoot.
- Edit short-form videos for platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other social platforms.
- Perform color correction and color grading where necessary.
- Follow current content trends while maintaining originality and brand consistency.
- Organize and manage project files and footage professionally.
- Deliver projects within agreed deadlines.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong photography and videography skills.
- Good understanding of composition, framing, lighting, and visual storytelling.
- Experience using professional or semi-professional cameras and production equipment.
- Ability to shoot both vertical and horizontal content depending on the platform.
- Understanding of short-form social media content and current visual trends.
- Video editing skills using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent software.
- Basic understanding of audio recording and lighting setups.
- Ability to work independently during shoots when necessary.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a creative eye.
- Ability to take feedback and turn it into improvements.
Portfolio Required
Your work matters more than the name of your degree.
Applicants should provide a portfolio, showreel, or examples of previous work. This may include:
- Photography
- Commercial or promotional videos
- Social media content
- Reels and short-form videos
- Product photography or videography
- Event coverage
- Interviews
- Personal creative projects
Your portfolio doesn’t need to be huge.
We would rather see a smaller selection of your best and most creative work than a large collection of average work.
We’ll pay particular attention to visual creativity, composition, storytelling, editing, and originality.
Working With Digirise
This role will initially be offered on a freelance/project basis.
Project scope, schedule, and compensation will be discussed based on each assignment.
As Digirise and our client base grow, strong freelance collaborators who consistently deliver quality work and bring creative ideas may be considered for more regular or full-time opportunities.
Ready to Create With Us?
If you see possibilities through a camera that others might miss — and you know how to turn those moments into content worth watching — we’d like to see your work.
